It was the graduation party for those who are going to graduate soon.
Ok honey, the pictures do not entirely speak the truth I promise.
We were all well behaved kan korang kan kan??
Nontheless couldn't hide the excitment due to the fact that we'll be graduating (sooner or later  ) this year! Horayyy!!

flying back to reality

The view from the sky was awesome when we flew back from San Francisco to Minneapolis. I'm not sure where exactly that was but I think we passed through canyons, mountains and high desert area through Nevada.

I left my heart in San Francisco

It was raining all day we couldn't do so much walk around the town. However we did had a wonderful lunch at the pier.The grilled shark and swordfish was superlicious. The clam chowder was the best we've ever tasted. We've scheduled to cruise to Alcatraz but it was cancelled due to bad weather condition  .
The weather envy us, but I still love San Francisco as much.
Later in the evening we drove around the city and again felt like in the movie. Beautiful houses along steepy roads ( I mean v very steep!! Lombard street was the steepest known as the crookedest street in the world ), the fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge, the unique cable car running on the street railway.. ah what's not to like..

From Santa Barbara to Monterey Bay

The bed and breakfast was an excelent choice this time. Maybe because it's Santa Barbara!
The owner of the inn was so welcoming and friendly. The quiet, upscale romatic location can't be beated! Too bad we only stayed for one night. The next morning, we had breakfast on the bed before worked our way northbound up the coastline to Monterey Bay. Along the way, we passed through quaint coastal towns, road twists along cliffs and numerous national parks and wildlife refuges; where we found hundreds elephant seal sleep on hidden beaches.

Driving up the Pacific Coast Highway, California

was the experience of a lifetime. We felt like we were in a car commercial, as this is where the big car companies filming their commercials; and we were driving a pretty nice car too: the new 2007 Dodge Caliber
And oh, watching the sunset on the Pacific ocean at the mountainous coast, what else could be more romantic

Welcome 2008!

What a good start of the year; Fakhrul and I went to California and Las Vegas, Nevada on vacation.  California definitely was the most beautiful state I've visited other than Hawaii.
From beaches to mountains, from deserts to romantic city of San Francisco. Love it! Love it! Love it!
Las Vegas was not as fun as I thought. The choice of the hotel might be one of the reasons. We stayed at Circus Circus, the hotel was too crowded and not as clean as I expeced. Anway what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas. We made a good decision on driving further south of Nevada and visited Hoover Dam, the place where Transformers were filmed. The view was magnificient! At least not until we drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, west California: rated as the most scenic drive in the world More pictures to come!!
